Responsibilities will include engineering design, calculations, and project scheduling and planning using Microsoft Office applications and other relevant tools. This role will manage multiple projects simultaneously, working both independently and collaboratively with other teammates and with minimal supervision to meet established deadlines. The position primarily follows a straight-day, Monday-through-Friday work schedule but may require weekends, overtime, holidays, or temporary turn coverage as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Requirements:B.S. Degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience with 2D/3D CAD SoftwareDetailed Selection Criteria:Teamwork Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.Initiative/Innovative Being proactive with seeking out work that needs to be done and being willing to take on responsibilities and challenges to include introducing new ideas for the continuous improvement of the work area.Accountability/Dependability Displays responsibility with work habits and has the ability to hold others accountable for desired results.
