Field Recruiter — Skilled Trades (Bilingual English/Spanish)

$50,000–$80,000 base + performance bonus · Full-time · Wappingers Falls, NY (field-based across the Hudson Valley, Westchester & Fairfield County, CT, & Northern NJ)

This is a recruiting job for someone who hates sitting at a desk. The best tradespeople in our industry are not scrolling job boards or responding to help-wanted ads. They are already working, learning in trade schools, talking shop at supply houses at 7 a.m., or connected through crews and trusted industry relationships. We are looking for a driven, boots-on-the-ground recruiter who can understand our positions, expectations, and required skill sets; actively find the best talent in our market; clearly communicate why Neave Outdoor is a great place to build a career; and turn those relationships into great hires who stay.

 

What you’ll actually do

• Spend 2 to 3 days a week in the field: service area recruiting such as in areas where people are working, delis, gas stations, supplier-counter mornings, trade schools and BOCES programs, workforce agencies, career events, and community networks across our territory

• Run direct outreach to experienced technicians and skilled tradespeople — in English and Spanish

• Drive our employee referral program so every crew in every division sends you names

• Screen for the thing that matters most in our trades: reliability — and verify the rest: certifications, licenses (including CT SP-2), driving records, and real hands-on experience

• Partner with hiring managers in every division on staffing needs, interviews, and same-day feedback

• Move fast — our process runs contact-to-offer in under a week, and you own the funnel

• Report real numbers weekly: prospects, conversations, screens, assessments, offers, hires

Two ways into this job — and we’re hiring at both levels

• Proven recruiter ($65,000–$78,000 base): You’ve recruited skilled trades, construction, field service, or light industrial — agency or in-house — and you can show us the funnel numbers to prove it. You’ll take over a fully built recruiting system and run it from day one.

• Hungry convert ($45,000–$58,000 base): You come from outside sales, route sales, staffing coordination, or the trades themselves — maybe you’ve led crews and people naturally trust you. You’ve never had the title “recruiter,” but you live on outbound conversations and follow-up. We’ll teach you recruiting with a complete playbook; you bring the drive. Clear path to the top of the range as you produce.

Non-negotiables at either level

Fluent Spanish and English, valid driver’s license, and genuine comfort with outbound work — approaching people who aren’t looking, hearing “no,” and staying likable.
